A Film On Film | Selina Mayer

A Film on Film is the fusion of two sensibilities: Selina Mayer the photographer, and David McNulty the director. David decides upon the grainy, blurry image of super 8 to capture Selina and her naked model in the forest. As the mirrored title suggests, a Film on Film comes full circle, by instinctively and sensually filming the photographer, who is also guided by her instinct.

What you will find in this film

Working on nudes • The mechanism of creation • Don’t plan everything • Letting go on the work’s interpretation • The fertile constraint of film photography • The virtue of slowness • Working in natural light

Everybody is naked at some point in their lives.
