Synopsis
Born in 1944, Swedish photographer Anders Petersen is a living legend of photography. His high-contrast black-and-white images have left a lasting mark on an entire generation with their raw and deeply personal approach to documentary photography. As a major retrospective of his work is being prepared at Liljevalchs in Stockholm — the largest solo photography exhibition ever held in Sweden — Anders Petersen is in the midst of a four-year project: photographing his city, Stockholm. Immersed in his daily life as a photographer, we follow him as he reflects on his journey and his practice while sharing his vision of photography, one that is as singular as it is profoundly human.
